Aleksandra Sever is a Croatian Singer/Songwriter, Poet and Painter who grew up in Germany and moved
to Los Angeles in the year 2000. With a Croatian father and a Slovenian mother she speaks four languages
and as an only child, often got the attention she didn't really want.
Aleksandra started playing the piano at age 4 that was given to her by her parents for her birthday.
Although she always sang when she was alone, it wasn't until much later that she was performing in front of
an audience. Music
Aleksandra's Songs are poems or short stories. Her dramatic and passionate songwriting transports the
listener into a world of hope, darkness, despair, love and hate. Aleksandra says that each song has its own
life and soul, rather than creating a style for all of them together. She finds it important to see them individually,
so that she can take each song to its extreme and not be creatively limited in any way. Art
Aleksandra's recent series of Oil Paintings entitled Her previous project "COLORS" presents her love for music. Poetry
Aleksandra calls herself a Poet first, then a Musician and Oil Painter. Influenced by Dylan Thomas, Edgar Allen Poe, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, Aleksandra's music and paintings are both inspired by the words first, and everything follows the poetry. Two of her best known poems are "The Blue Piano" and "The Albatross". Her newest poem is entitled "Strange Hours" |
